When and where did you meet this woman? . I was there in the army and we met through friends. We lived
together in Osaka. I worked at the Sugamo prison. From daughter: My Father is listed on your web site , my
father has passed away , however it was my fathers wish for me to look and I want to still try to locate Uno
Hisako ( Kako or Kay ) or anyone in her family. She was held in great resepct from my father. My father loved
her so much that he name me after her. I have heard such wonderful stories and would so much like to
communicate with her if she is still living and most certainly with a sister or brother that I could possibley
have. My father was not sure if there was a child or not, but seemed to think that she may have been
expecting when he was sent back yo the United States. They corrosponded for a little whie after he returned
stateside, and then lost contact , I'm not sure why. I know that there was always a hope in my fathers heart
that things went well for her. He told me that leaving her that last day was one of the hardest things he has

to my attention that he was married and the Japanese woman gave birth to a baby girl in May 1957. My grandmother had
a photo of the child when she was 3 months old. Currently, I am trying to locate this photo. This information was not
passed along to me until my grandmother had passed, which was in May of this year. My father wished to bring the
woman and child back to the United States, but was not able to because of her family. Apparently, she came from a
wealthy family. He suffered a nervous breakdown and was flown to Philadelphia where he was honorably discharged from
the US Marines around October 1957. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
