further between the two of us and hope that both of our searches have come to a happy end. I
will most assuredly keep you updated as to any news down the line Jennifer. And I surely plan to
give all credit to your wonderful organization, as well as any publicity I can wrangle. What a
beautiful thing you folks do for those who are separated. My sincere thanks and appreciation."

Ronald says: "Thank you so much. I already chat with my father yesterday and it was a

He will have his own world to make. Being neither East or West purely, he will be rejected of
each, for none will understand him. But I think, if he has the strength of both his parents,
he will understand both worlds, and so overcome.

15 year old Jim and his mother Elizabeth were reunited with Robert Horton Jr. (Navy). Mr. Horton
had no idea Jim was born or that Elizabeth was still alive because he and Elizabeth were separated
after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in the PI.
April 2007

Jim says
: "We are ok we talk on the phone 3 times a week!"
Keith R. (Navy) was looking for his child in the PI. Unfortunately AFF learned the child did not survive.
April 2007 (Thanks to MaryAnn in the PI for helping in this case!)

Keith says
: "I am sure that once I get over the shock I will come to terms with this but I will tell you that
I am sad. I wish that I had not put Cindy in such a position. I am glad that she has made a life for
herself. I hope that she is happy. "
MaryAnn (PI) was reunited with their father Nelson (Navy) after 35 years! April 2007.

"A word of thanks can hardly say...How much your kindness meant to me. I'm overwhelmed
with gratitude.  Love & Care
,"  says Ate Liza (sister to Mary Ann)

Nelson says
: " I think things will be fine with me & Anna Liza. You are right about it taking
time to soak in. It was a shock to me & especially my wife as she had no idea about her. I
never told her because I never thought I would ever hear from her.  I didn't even know if she
was alive. I would like to thank you & AFF for getting us together. She told me she has been
trying since she was 11 years old to find me.I believe everything will be ok. Maybe someday I
will meet her. God bless" Nelson

Unfortunately it has been learned that Anna Liza is not in fact Nelson's daughter, but her
sister Mary Ann in fact is. 2008

MaryAnn and Annaliza (above). AFF was able to locate her father Gary Schaefer (USMC).

Cherie says: My journey has been since 1995 when I started talking to people about my mom who does not live in the
states. My family in the states knew about it but my friends did not. I wanted to let her know I was graduating from a
Community College and I had gotten married. But no one really wanted to help or if they did they would want lots of money
and money was not near me at that time. I was already working 3 jobs before I went back to college...Again thank you for
creating this website because if you had not called me on March 26th, 2007, I would not been able to hear my mom's
voice, who I have not heard in 26 years. Keep doing the good things that you do for others and God will repay you!
